Pneumatic Welders and Ultrasonic Generators

Most ultrasound welders consist of pneumatically operated presses. They are made with worktop for the positioning and support of the piece holder and of a rigid and perpendicular structure on which a shelf slides known as the transducer holder head. The generator and control parts may be contained inside the structure. By sacrificing the machine compactness, the generator may be contained inside a metal cabinet and positioned outside the structure. This system has the advantage of making it possible to substitute the generator, with a more powerful model for example, without changing the machine.

Sirius Electric provides a range of pneumatic actuators that are particularly suited for automation systems and the construction of automatic lines. The slide motion is on high-precision prismatic guides. There is also a mechanical stop for cylinder stroke control. Various types of cylinder are available, selected according to the mechanical stroke and power.

The actuators are distinguished according to the power system used, 20 or 36 kHz. The compact dimensions, sliding precision, user ease, and affordable sales price are the main features of these accessories.

COMPACT 20 KHZ ACTUATOR for 20 kHz system particularly suited for incorporation on automatic lines.

The movement occurs on precision prismatic guides with the use of a pneumatic cylinder with a diameter of 63 mm and stroke of 100 mm max. There is also a mechanical stop to limit the cylinder stroke.

The front panel has a pressure reducer and a speed adjuster. It also comes complete with a 24 VDC solenoid valve.

In the complete version, the actuator is provided with an optical ruler with centesimal resolution.

USP-A ELECTRIC ACTUATOR has been designed and built for use on automatic assembly lines, where the conditions of use and the quality of the parts to be assembled are the essential aspects. It takes the form of a true motorized electrical axis, with a sturdy construction that does not require the use of compressed air, which often causes a high degree of process variability.

The new electric actuator is fitted with a transducer holder slide and is operated by mean s of a brushless motor sliding on hardened and ground prismatic ways. The electricl control unit which is contained inside an elegant metal cabinet, consists of the motor drive and the microprocessor complete with backlit graphic display and programming keyboard. Programming is simple and all the welding cycle control parameters are provided. Further superior functions are also available such as speed control on both up and downward movements or the high-head stop device in order to reduce cycle time.

The DIGITAL SE-09 ultrasound generators have been designed and built for the ultrasound welding of thermoplastic parts. This range of  generators is totally digital. They permit all the most important settings to be made and have all the typical features of state-of-the-art generators. The innovative programming system uses a rotating switch with a select and enter button, permits all the calibration operations to be undertaken from a single knob. Their simplicity of use, the functions available and their total reliability make these generators truly unique.

The USP ENERGY ultrasound welders have been designed and built using the most advanced technology (3D CAD, CNC).
This welder has given priority to factors such as reliability, advanced electronic solutions and affordable cost.

The USP APP ultrasonic welders are designed and manufactured in our Vigevano factory. The mechanical and electrical solutions assure that it operates under the best possible conditions with a full range of regulation options, thereby making it possible to adapt the welder to the widest range of welding situations. The total reliability of these ultrasonic generators also ensure a consistent welding process. The USP APP welders are available in three models:

  • With base
  • Bench type
  • Column type (possibility of incorporation on automatic lines)

The USP-M ultrasound welders have been designed and built using the most modern technology currently available (3D CAD, CNC). The mechanical and electrical solutions available make it possible to work in optimal conditions and with a full range of setting possibilities, thereby adapting the welder to the most varied welding situations. Thanks to the absolute reliability of the ultrasound generators it is also possible to obtain a consistent welding process. The USP-M welders are available in three models:

  • With base
  • Bench type
  • Column type (possibility of incorporation on automatic lines).

The USP-T ultrasound welders have been designed and built using the most modern technology currently available (3D CAD, CNC). These machines are designed for particularly heavy-duty operations in which precision is an essential factor. They are particularly suited to applications involving the ultrasound cutting of fabrics and laminated fabrics in the textile sector, and in the cutting of membranes and filtering fabrics in the medical sector. Thanks to its sturdy design and the use of high-strength prismatic guides, means that the machine is capable of working in optimal conditions. These ultrasound USP-T welders are equipped with a special microprocessor-assisted programming system and a keyboard with backlit display and functions keys. The absolute reliability of the generators being an essential condition to assure consistent welding quality.

The USP ROTOR ultrasound welders are designed and manufactured by Sirius Electric. The welding cycle is speeded up thanks to the use of electromechanical multi-step rotary tables. The production cycle is further accelerated by the incorporation of an automatic ejection system. These ultrasound welders are produced taking into account the specific customer’s needs.
The loading of the pieces usually occurs manually, although it is possible to use automatic loading systems. The  USP ROTOR ultrasound welders can be fitted with ultrasound generators with variable power ratings of between 500 and 3000 Watt 20 or 36 kHz.

The SEW US/04 ultrasound sewing machine has been designed and developed using the latest technology (3D CAD, CNC). This modern design sewing machine, is suited to the welding of synthetic fabrics, as an alternative to sewing with thread.
The special feeding system, with adjustable pressure, makes it possible to carry out curvilinear welding jobs.

The SEW-R 010 ultrasound sewing machine has been designed and constructed using the most modern technology currently available (3D CAD,CNC).
This highly innovative sewing machine is suited to the welding of synthetic fabrics, as an alternative to traditional sewing with thread.
The sonotrode and the counterwheel revolve at the same speed. As a result, the welding process can be carried out smoothly. The speed can be adjusted in order to adapt the machine to the different fabric types.

The ultrasound welders in the COMPACT series are designed and manufactured using state-of-the-art technologies (3D CAD, CNC). These welders are particularly suited for welding small parts and its mechanical design is simple and practical. The ultrasound generators deliver absolute reliability for a consistent weld. The ultrasound welders mod. COMPACT are available in two models:

  • Bench type
  • Column type (possibility of incorporation on automatic lines)

The ultrasound welders of the COMPACT-M series are designed and manufactured using state-of-the-art technologies (3D CAD, CNC). These welders are particularly suited for welding small parts and its mechanical design is simple and practical. The ultrasound generators deliver absolute reliability for a consistent weld. The ultrasound welders mod. COMPACT-M are available in two models:

  • bench type
  • column type (possibility of incorporation on automatic lines)
