Friction welders or Spin welders

The welding of thermoplastic materials using the friction welding technique, is performed by fusion of the contact surfaces.

The local temperature increase, necessary for the fusion process, is obtained by friction of one of the two parts to be welded. On the part subject to the rotating movement is applied a thrust pressure, in order to maintain in contact the parts during the process. For these friction welders, the rotating movement is achieved by a appropriately controlled motor and with a spindle, which will be designed according to the shape of the part to be welded.

With this technology you can weld parts made of thermoplastic materials, exclusively of circular shapes.

The parts to be welded are contained inside fixtures which are appropriately shaped. When the fusion temperature of the materials has been reached, the circular movement has to stop within 0,5 seconds.

Our Spin Welders are equipped with a microprocessor to control and handle the welding cycle.

With our programs you can settle time, height, torsion control and stop angle.

The programming is easy and direct, and the different menus are available following easy instructions.

The production of standard welding machines made it possible for us to reach an elevated welding quality and reliability.
It is possible to manufacture special welding machines, following customers problems and specific exigencies. Our spin welders come complete with proportional valve to control the thrust pressure. In this technology, the welding joint has to be designed according to the technical specifications requested by the customer.

The sale of the plastic welding machines is entrusted to our commercial department and directly controlled by Sirius Electric welders Vigevano.

Friction welders or Spin welders

The welding process with spin welding is easy.

The rotating movement set up to one of the two parts to be welded causes an abrasion and a friction. The circular movement continuous and initiates the fusion, which goes on for a certain period. When this phase is terminated, the motor is being stopped and the welding cycle of the spin welder is terminated. The parts are still maintained under pressure for a final assembly.
