29/12/2011: HOT PLATE WELDING (kinds of welding)
- Fusion welding of edges: it is the most important application in the hot plate welding, it is used primarily for joining thermoplastic pipes for gas and water distribution.
- Fusion welding of the base: a tool, with the shape of the inner and outer pipe, heats the two parties before they are placed one inside the other.
- Fusion welding of the saddle: to secure a saddle to a pipe, a tool is used to heat the outer surface of the pipe and the assembling side of the saddle.

14/12/2011: ULTRASONIC WELDING
The ultrasonic welding cycle starts thanks to the action of the welding joints or directors of energy and proceeds until the complete solidification of the borders
The directors have the scope to localize the energy in specific points to allow the fmelting in short times
- Phase 1: Beginning melting
- Phase 2: Matching joint
- Phase 3: Melting is working normally
- Phase 4: Maintenance/phase of cooling
Friction Welding
In the spin welding the heat necessary for the welding is produced by a rotary movement, simultaneously combined with the pressure.
One of the two parts to be welded, usually the longer one is kept fixed. The other part is put in rotation on the fixed one.
There are two types of spin welding:
NEW ULTRASONIC SEWING MACHINE SEW-R 010 FOR SYNTHETIC TEXTILES
The ultrasonic sewing machine model SEW-R 010 has been designed and manufactured using the most up to date technologies CAD, CNC.
This sewing machine, with a modern conception, is suitable for the sewing of synthetic textiles, in alternative to the traditional sewing with yarn.
The sonotrode and the counter-piece wheel, rotate at the same speed; in this way the welding occur without problems.
The speed is adjustable in order to adapt the sewing machine to the different textiles used.
17/11/2011 ULTRASONIC WELDING: A "Green" technology
Ultrasonic Welding is the fastest and most cost effective method used today to join and assemble plastic parts and non-ferrous metals. Ultrasonic welding is cost effective and can be considered a "green" technology because it eliminates the need of fasteners, adhesives and / or solvents. Ultrasonic Welding can be used to join all rigid thermoplastics, synthetic fabrics and films. To weld it is used an acoustic tool called sonotrode (horn) desiged and built to fit to the parts to be welded.
10/11/2011: HOT PLATE WELDING: PLATE TEMPERATURES
The contact or distance (radiation) of the the heating element from the plate should be uniform, especially on hard materials such as PC and ABS.
Are also very important the piece heating time and the heating time on the moulds. After the heating, the machine must be very fast to remove the blade as the material solidifies or crystallizes very quickly.
